Protecting personal and confidential information is a core value for the Company Alleviating Science (alleviatingscience.com) and consequently for all its products like Aexd.net and Aprd.net. For Aexd.net (read, Accelerating experimental design.net) counts that confidentiality is highly important due to the nature of the sensitive information that can be stored by the Customer on Aexd.net and the often high economic interest of this information considering experimental costs and the competitive advantage that can be a direct result of process optimization. This privacy statement confirms that Aexd.net takes the highest care to protect any personal,
experimental, commercial, economical or any other type of information provided by you or collected by Aexd.net during your use of any of the services offered by Aexd.net.

Information collection
As most websites, Aexd.net gathers information automatically and stores it in log files or databases to be able to offer improved service and consumer satisfaction in the future. For example, if an unexpected error occurs or a bug is detected by the Software, details concerning this error are stored in a database, together with information about which Customer was affected by the error, when and where. The Software administrator can then take measures to avoid such error in the future and, if necessary or convenient, contact the Customer about the issue. Over time, this process improves the quality of the Software and the user-experience of the Aexd.net website as a whole. Information provided by you or collected by Aexd.net will only be stored if:

i. the information is necessary to provide the Service as described in the Terms of Service;
ii. the information is used to administer the website;
iii. the information can either now or in a later point in time be expected to contribute in choosing strategic directions of improvement of the quality, focus, and/or(visual) experience of the Software or the website as a whole, or may contribute in any other way to general or specific consumer satisfaction;
iv. the information can, for example in relation to similar information of other Customers, pinpoint a form of abuse or any other misbehavior by a Customer;
v. the information is necessary to adhere to specific local laws in the country from which the Customer operates.

License purchase
If the Customer Purchases a License or any other service on the Aexd.net website, only information is collected, shared and stored that is necessary to process the purchase, to notify the Customer of his/her order status and, in case of a License, to technically assure that the Customer maintains the owner of the purchased License. This includes sharing of necessary data with Aexd.net monetary affiliate (PayPall) to effectuate the payment and  notification of Aexd.net about the success status of this payment.

Google Analytics
Information about the use of Aexd.net site by any visitor, without identifying this visitor as an individual, is monitored by Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics) as in compliance to the Terms of Service that are published at http://www.google.com/analytics/tos.html (or any other such url that Google may provide from time to time). SSL
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol that ensures encrypted communication. To encrypt sensitive data before it is send over the internet from the Customer to the server or visa-versa, Aexd.net uses SSL, thus ensuring safe transfer of data even over WiFi or other networks.

Cookies
Sending, receiving and restoring a “cookie” is an established internet technology, concerning a message that is send and saved to the computer of the Customer upon visiting a website. When the Customer visits the site for a second time, the information can then be send back to the server, which allows the Customer to send login or other sensitive information only once per session, while the Software on the server recognizes the session, session status, session privileges and other information stored in the “cookie”. Thus, the customer can send requests to the server without needing to identify himself/herself each time with email and password. Cookies also store other information and all information in a cookie is, when desired, encrypted with SSL. The customer can delete Cookies from his/her browser cash at any desired moment, after which another login will be required and a new cookie will be created and saved. Setting browser preferences to refuse all cookies will however, in effect, unable the Service to function properly or at all.

Alleviating Science reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If Alleviating Science decides to change this Privacy Policy, it will post those changes in a conspicuous manner at www.Aexd.net\privacy_policy (or any other url Alleviating Science may provide from time to time), and other places Aexd.net deems appropriate.
